Whether this is a case of malopropism or not, remains to be seen!
Thing 4 eagerly helped me mix the eggs and cheeses and then helped me and Thing 3 to layer this mixture with sauce and noodles. On Yom Tov he proudly proclaimed that he helped make and was going to eat the LaNausea!

Thing 1 was supposed to be home already for dinner, and then learning.
He was late.
I was getting frustrated
..then infuriated.
So, I turned to my husband and asked what we should do about/to
Thing 1.
Very calmy, DH replied, "Kill him."
(He did NOT mean it.)
Very non-nonplussed (I've always wanted to use that word, sorry)
I retorted, "And then what?"
To which thing 3 piped up, "Bury him."
